The fishmarket Benfleet

Last night we tried out a new restaurant in Benfleet http://fishmarket-restaurant.co.uk/. The location is not all that, but the food is worth the effort. The only parking is in the pay & display a short walk away. We ate on the terrace which felt a bit like an upmarket National Trust cafe. I had a trio of smeked fish with horseradish cream. My partner had mussels in leek & stilton sauce. For mains we had sea bass with oriental veg & fishermans pie. It was top class. the bill came to £65 with one bottle of wine. I would go back ther again but wouldn't bother to dress up next time.

Frustrated shopper

This morning I woke up with great resolve & decided to shop till I dropped. In fact the experience was more drop and less shop. I went to that great Essex emporium known as http://lakeside.co.uk/. Four hours later all I had purchased was a double expresso & was totally dissillusioned with shopping. For my next shopping expedition I am off to Bluewater on Thurs.

Help i keep trying out stuff but not getting to grips as yet with posting. this is yet another trial post. Please work!

The start-day 1

This blog is dedicated to good food, eating out & managing to lose weight at the same time! So far the food part is going great but the dieting part is fairly unsuccessful! Theoretically it should be possible to do all three, I mean how hard can it be to drop the elusive dress size & have a social life at the same time.

This is also my first time venturing into the world of blogging so bear with me please. My favourite site at the moment is pig2twig.com. There is a fab forum there which if you are as obsessed with dieting as I am you will definately find addictive.
